Screening of first ever Pakistani Oscar nominated documentary “Saving Face”
You are invited to a screening of the first ever Pakistani documentary nominated for an Oscar award will be held under the auspices of PACC on Sunday March 3rd 2-4:30 PM at PACC, 1639A S. Main St., Milpitas, CA, 95035
The documentary film by Oscar nominated and Emmy award winner Pakistani director Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy and two-time Oscar nominee filmmaker Daniel Junge follows London-based Pakistani plastic surgeon, Dr. Mohammad Jawad, as he journeys to Pakistan to perform reconstructive surgery on survivors of acid violence. The screening will be followed by a presentation and Q and A with Reconstructive Surgeon Dr. Mohammed Ali Jawad. Light refreshment will be served after the screening.

Pakistan Day Celebration
PACC will be celebrating Pakistan Day on Saturday, March 17 in the evening with a theme of “Empowering Pakistani Women” . Pakistan Consul General Mrs. Riffat Masood will be chief guest. It is cosponsored by TCF-USA. We will have Dr. Samia Altaf who will review her book So Much Aid, So Little Development followed by a panel discussion with accomplished Pakistani ladies. Celebrate Pakistan; Arts/Crafts show by Children
On March 24th (2-4PM), PACC is organizing Celebrate Pakistan, an event by children to show their arts and crafts talent. It will be held at PACC at 1639A S. Main St., Milpitas, CA, 95035. More details will be coming soon.
